With the Stroke Doctor the treatment planning process is individualized in the sense that disease & bodily vulnerabilities, deficiencies, and the like are identified and then “matched” to the appropriate therapies and treatment protocols that are most likely to affect healing and restoration.
Stroke is one of the top causes of death in the United States and a leading cause of major disability. Approximately 800,000 people have a stroke each year — about one every four seconds, with one person dying every four minutes as a result.

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted or severely reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. When blood flow does not reach the brain, brain cells begin to die, which results in brain damage. The brain functions that are affected depend on where the stroke occurs and how much damage has occurred.
If you notice any of these signs, you may be seeing or experiencing a stroke.

Platelet Rich Plasma Treatments

Used in maxillofacial and plastic surgery since the early 1980's, the technique has been developed recently to aid in the treatment of professional athletes, recovering from injuries. We draw your own blood and concentrate the platelets to 4 to 5 times beyond normal and, using ultrasound to guide us, inject them precisely into injured areas. The treatment also activates SC’s in the injured area calling them into action. The procedure can be used in combination with SC treatments or alone.

SCT Therapy & Injections

Adult SC are cells from your own body that are essentially “un-programmed” meaning that they can turn into other cell types (differentiate). They are naturally occurring cells that are can renew themselves and turn into other cells (differentiate). They are inside your body and are an essential component of the healing process. We know areas of the body where more SC occur, bone marrow for example. We can harvest these cells from your own tissues in high concentration and direct them with exact precision to the injured area.

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used for decades to treat chronic wounds and other medical conditions, including severe anemia (low iron in the blood) and carbon monoxide poisoning. This therapy provides you with air that contains 100 percent oxygen. (Room air contains about 21% oxygen.) You’ll have hyperbaric oxygen therapy inside a special pressurized chamber, allowing your lungs to absorb greater amounts of oxygen as you breathe.

We commonly use hyperbaric oxygen therapy alone or with other medical treatments, such as medications, SCT, or PRP. Most people receive hyperbaric oxygen therapy on an outpatient basis for 1 to 2 hours each session.

Oxygen is delivered to the cells via the hemoglobin in red blood cells. Pressurized oxygen is dissolved in your body’s fluids and transported to all tissues, even those with poor circulation, reviving the mitochondria in your neurons. Healthy mitochondria are essential because they produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate) our primary energy supply. Consequently, the mitochondria consume the majority of our cellular oxygen in exchange for the massive amounts of ATP they must produce. Anytime your muscles move, a thought runs through your brain, you sweat, salivate or look at something; billions of ATP are consumed to power the process.

The targeted precision of regenerative compounds can help you avoid surgery.

The healing properties of regenerative compounds are only effective as the precision with which they are delivered. With Personalized Regenerative Medicine & the Stroke Doctor, we employ ultrasound technology to precisely identify the injured area, and target the customized biologic treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma and SCT) for maximum effectiveness. This can be a highly effective surgical alternative that can get you back at it sooner, and with less recovery time.

Recovery, your way

Injuries sideline us all from time to time but we want to get you back on track without resorting to surgery. Our minimally invasive procedures tap into your body’s own healing and regeneration systems and boost the natural healing process to speed recovery and get you back to do doing what you love.
